Learning Community students at the Venture High Team Challenge Course

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences/ University College (CLAS/UCOL) Learning Community is a one year program for entering freshmen who have not yet declared a major and for entering freshmen who have declared a major from most of the available programs in the CLAS. The learning community is an interdisciplinary program designed to help freshmen excel during their critical first year at UNC Charlotte. The CLAS/UCOL Learning Community is available to students who live on campus (residential students) and for students who live off campus (commuter students).

Members of the learning community are enrolled in several classes together during the fall and spring semesters. In consultation with their academic advisor, each student will also choose individual classes to fill out their semester schedule. Residential students live together in the same residence hall.

Information about the departments and majors offered in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences may be found at www.clas.uncc.edu.
